Crumbs of The Mind
Broken Pieces
of Happiness
are
the few rays of sun
worth all the cold and rain?
even the sun has lost its warmth
if it ever had any
if it ever will
and the rain
is colder, wetter than ever
i remembered it to be
so, then, what is there
left in the world?
the world has faded to grey
like an old, forgotten photograph
and days gone by
are but a far-away dream
bits and pieces
of sunshine and laughter
broken now
never to be lived again
and ice covers my dreams
in thin crystal blankets
and the images beneath
grow distorted
as the ice age
of a forever love gone
begins
