Medical Research Studies

Below is a list of several medical and scientific studies on Basilar Artery Migraine (also called "Bickerstaff's Syndrome"), mostly with abstracts. Many mention various methods of treatment that have found success in individual cases.

If you have been diagnosed with Basilar Artery Migraine (I call it BAM for short), or if you think you may have Basilar Artery Migraine, you may wish to print out some of these abstracts, along with other pertinent pages from this site, and discuss the information with your general practitioner or neurologist. Information on these studies is provided here as found in libraries of medical abstracts.

Basilar Artery Migraine can be treated, but there is no one treatment that is right for everybody who has it. The importance of having (or finding) a good, knowledgeable clinician simply cannot be overstressed.
