What's New on The BAM Page

NEWS on 12/28/98:

BAM Rare But Potentially Dangerous

Basilar Artery Migraine and its potential dangers (including risk of stroke) was the topic of a recent article in the Philadelphia Enquirer. This represents a real step forward for BAM sufferers the world over. It is my hope that we can work during 1999 to get BAM publicized even more.

NEWS on 11/04/98:

New Mind-it Service

The URL Minder "Mind-it" Service was installed on this site. This utility enabled users to be notified via email each time the main page in this site changed. This feature has since been replaced with The BAM Page Newsletter.

NEWS on 10/27/98:

Join the New Mailing List!

I now have a new automated mailing list on the site! I'll be using this list to send out a free newsletter and various announcements, so join the list and keep up on the latest.

I also have a list of a few thousand names that I'm putting together by hand--these are people who have asked to be on my mailing list, people who have posted on the BAM Forum, etc. If you've already requested I add your name to my list, do go ahead and join the BAM Mailing List (just down and to your right on this page), as the new automated ListBOT list will be the main mailing list for this site, and I'll provide a way for you to avoid getting duplicate newsletters.

Easier Printing of Site Pages

I'm working on reformatting the entire site to make it easier for users to print out individual pages or sections (I've had several reports of difficulties from visitors). When I'm finished, you should be able to print nicely formatted pages from any 3.0 or greater browser using your browser's print command.

New Discussion Forum

Follow the link to the new BAM Discussion Forum. Absolutely great format--all new! Powerful search capabilities let you find what you need quickly and easily. Be sure to sign the guestbook while you're there, and stop by at the "Introduce Yourself" conversation board to tell us all a bit about yourself. There's also a brand new BAM Support Group housed on the form, along with an informal chat board for those looking to be a part of the growing community here. Join in and have a great time!

Image Gallery

I'm busy working on getting images together for a gallery. Some great neuro and medical people have agreed to share images of the brainstem, the vertebrobasilar system, and cerebrovascular accident. I am selecting images to be effective in providing a good overview of the territory and to increase patients' ability to visualize what's happening in Basilar Artery Migraine.

NEW! Search Internet Discussion Groups

[ Deja News ] Search Discussion Groups For Any of These Words:

I Need Your Help!

If you know of any good image sources (the owners of which would be amenable to my using them here, with proper credit given to the source), please let me know and I'll work on contacting them.

I've noticed that the search engines and most of the sites that link here have not yet updated their listing to our new location at http://www.s-2000.com    Unfortunately, I can't keep old site operational indefinitely just for referral purposes. If you happen to run across an outdated link, please help me notify the source so that people who need this information can find it!

NEWS on 9/24/98:

Still in the process of configuring this site for inclusion as the 99th member of the Internet's Medical Education Ring, as well as the 100th of The Neuro Ring.
